Situated in Launchpad 31 with a 2×1 meter stand. Displaying a range of textiles and the launch of Picnic life to show to new stockists. It was a great show and now lots to catch up with at the studio. To brighten up the stand Craspedia Billy Balls Yellow Flowers with blue bells.

The run up to pulse was a busy period of  painting, printing, folding, and packing so little time was spent on uploading new blog posts. Here is the table that my friend kindly made. The pine table (left) and bench (right) had a grey wash finish to add to the collection of textiles on show.

It has been a cold winters day here today and to kick start it all off was a big bowl of porridge with local honey. Using these beautiful implements for making the traditional dish makes the experience of cooking that extra bit special, Left: wooden honey dipper, Right: Porridge Spurtle.

David Mellor, cutlery ware designer, has been a huge inspiration for the Jessica Hayes-Gill collection-take a trip to see his factory, The Round Building in Hathersage.

I came across this blog post last week regarding the cost of handmade goods and the reasons behind buying handmade pieces.
